Agricultural producer prices in Hungary up 4.8%

The increase was due to a 12.2% rise in the prices of crop products, while the prices of live animals and animal products went on decreasing, by 5.9%.
In October 2015 compared to October 2014:
The price of every group of crops with high priority rose: that of potatoes to the lowest (9.0%) and the price of fruits to the highest extent (26%).
The price of cereals was up by 12%, which was primarily due to a 23% increase in the price of maize, while that of wheat increased by 0.4%.
The producer price level of live animals became 1.1% and that of animal products 16% lower.
In January–October 2015 compared to the same period of the previous year:
Agricultural producer prices were cut by 2.3%, within which the prices of crop products rose by 2.0% and the prices of live animals and animal products were reduced by 8.8%.
The price of pigs for slaughter fell by 11% and the producer price of milk by 21%. ■
