Brazil: Agricultural machinery production reaches highest level in four years

In 2018, the production of agricultural machinery in Brazil reached 65.7 thousand units, an increase of 23.8% compared to the previous year, when 53 thousand vehicles of this type were made.

The result was the best for the segment in the last four years, according to data from the National Association of Automobile Manufacturers (Anfavea), organization that represents auto makers.

In December alone, the production of agricultural automobiles reached 5.6 thousand units, representing a 113% increase, when compared to the same period in 2017.

The increase in agricultural vehicle production is in line with the general advancement felt in the automotive sector, which grew 6.7% last year, also the best result since 2014. In total, 2,699 million vehicles were produced in the country.
