Poland: Boycott compensation for 3.4 million ton of top fruit

The President of the Agricultural Market Agency (AMA) reported the remaining volumes still available for withdrawal and eligible for compensations for losses caused by the Russian embargo.

The remaining volumes are: 3,421,915 tonnes of apples and pears; 93,765 tonnes of tomatoes, carrots, peppers, cucumbers and gherkins, and 0.23 tonnes of cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, mushrooms and berries.

Requests can consequently still be made regarding those products to the directors of the appropriate territorial branch of the AMA, depending on the place of residence or registered office of the company, no later than 7 days before the date planned to start carrying out the operation.

The implementation of the operation to withdraw products from the market for free distribution or other purposes must be completed by June 30, 2016. The Agency will continue to publish updated information regarding the situation on its website.
