$30m FedEx gateway facility in Philippines opens in April

Logistics operator FedEx Express Philippines has unveiled its new Philippine gateway facility worth $30 million in Clark, Pampanga, and announced its scheduled opening in April 2021.

The unveiling marks the express transportation company’s 36th year of operations in the Philippines. The facility is part of FedEx’s series of strategic investments in the Philippines and across Asia-Pacific aimed at enhancing service coverage and customer experience.

The 17,000-square-meter facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technologies that will increase sorting capabilities to 9,000 documents and parcels per hour. The facility will also have dedicated areas for processing large heavyweight freight. Once operational, this investment will bring the total number of its staff in Clark to more than 800.
