The company will sell related outpatient services, to subsidiaries of Prime Healthcare Services, Inc. The divestiture is expected to close in the first quarter of 2015, subject to customary regulatory approvals and closing conditions.

The company does not expect the divestiture to have a meaningful impact on financial operations. Dallas Regional Medical Center became a Community Health Systems affiliate through the acquisition of Health Management Associates, Inc. in January 2014.

Following the divestiture of Dallas Regional, Community Health Systems affiliates will continue to operate 17 hospitals in Texas.

Prime Healthcare Services, Inc. currently operates 29 hospitals, including three in Texas.
