"Ford remains committed to serving global markets while aggressively restructuring parts of our business which have no reasonable path to achieve sales growth or sustained profitability, particularly in areas where market dynamics prevent us from competing effectively.

"Therefore, we will cease all operations in Indonesia before the end of 2016 and concentrate our resources elsewhere.

"We would like to reassure you that you can continue to visit Ford dealers for all sales, service and warranty support until later this year. We are committed to providing ongoing service and warranty support after our departure and will provide further information on the new arrangements well before the changeover."
