Jardine Lloyd Thompson confirms UK FCA probe into aviation insurance

Jardine Llloyd Thompson late Friday noted recent press comments and confirmed that it is being investigated by the UK Financial Conduct Authority regarding the aviation insurance sector.

"The company is participating in this investigation and confirms that JLT Specialty is providing all appropriate assistance to the FCA," Jardine Lloyd Thompson said.

"We are unable to comment on the ongoing investigation beyond saying that JLT takes all regulatory matters very seriously and has a constructive relationship with all the regulators that it works with across the JLT Group," the company added.

Jardine Lloyd Thompson offers services surrounding insurance, reinsurance and employee benefits related advice, brokerage and associated services.

The aerospace market is one of its specialities, as the company claims to work on behalf of 34% of the worldwide commercial airline market for airlines with individual fleet values in excess of $50.0 million.
