Recurrent Energy obtains funds to build 144 MW solar park in Texas

Recurrent Energy has begun building the Pflugerville solar park in Texas after securing over USD 234 million in debt and tax equity financing for the project.

The solar project developer, which is owned by Canadian Solar, said that it recently got tax equity financing from US Bank along with debt financing from a CIT Bank led group that also included Norddeutsche Landesbank, Rabobank and Zions Bank.

CIT Group said that its Power and Energy unit served as the sole lead arranger on a USD 162 million financing for the project.1
