Some 36 kilometres long, Grand Paris Line 18 will link Orly Airport with the City of Versailles, SNC-Lavalin announced.

It will include 10 stations, three of them air terminals, within a larger 200-kilometre, 68-station network. With commissioning planned initially for 2024, and the second phase occurring in 2030, Line 18 will offer a connection to Orly Airport, as well as interconnections with Lines B and C of the regional fast-transit system (Réseau Express Régional or RER).

Under this contract, SNC-Lavalin will advise SGP on project management as well as overseeing all the contractors and suppliers involved in the Line 18 project.

With 14 kilometres of viaduct line and substantial technical, environmental and heritage constraints, SNC-Lavalin will leverage the expertise it has already acquired both on the international stage and on major transportation projects in France, such as the Reims and Orléans tramways, the LGV Est rapid transit line, and the Puy-de-Dôme cog railway.

As an ancillary service for SGP, SNC-Lavalin will also carry out a pre-project audit for the southern extension of Line 14 of the Paris metro, to be built by RATP and Aéroports de Paris, co-principals in this project with SGP.
