Bolsonaro's son investigated for money laundering

Senator Flavio Bolsonaro, son of Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, is under investigation for money laundering in the purchase of two luxury apartments in Rio de Janeiro.

According to a federal police report sent to the Attorney General's Office, the legislator's assets recorded an 'exceptional increase' after real estate business between 2014 and 2017.

The president's son could have committed the crimes of money laundering and electoral ideological falsehood, according to the O Globo newspaper.

The senator has also been splashed by a scandal of suspicious financing in the account of Fabricio Queiroz, who worked for him as an escort and driver during his time as a congressman in Rio de Janeiro.
