Bumblebees cause flight delay at Moscow airport

Bumblebees that flew into the cabin of a plane ended up delaying the flight’s departure from Moscow’s Vnukovo airport to the Crimean capital of Simferopol, for almost 1.5 hours, the press service of Rossiya Airlines reported.

"A container with bumblebees might have gotten unsealed when the baggage was being loaded onboard. As a result, some ten insects escaped from the container," TASS cited the company as saying.

The company added that these insects posed no danger to any healthy individual.

According to the international aviation rules, the airline had to use a different plane to perform this flight.
