The network of seismic stations recorded an earthquake at 7.52 am on February 17. The epicenter was located 374 km north-east from Almaty on the territory of Kazakhstan. Energy class 9.6. Magnitude MPV 3.8.

The epicenter was located not far from the village of Lepsy in the Almaty region at 5 km depth.
