Ecuadorian authorities seize ton of drugs hidden in bananas

The Ecuadorian police found a ton of drugs smuggled In banana export boxes. According to the first investigations, the drug's final destination would be Belgium. However, the authorities do not rule out the Netherland as another destination.

According to Marco Villegas, the director of Ecuador's drug enforcement agency, the cocaine arrived from Colombia and is valued at more than $ 50 million.

The stash, hidden in containers of the docks of the Yilport maritime terminal, was confiscated in the Maritime Port of Machala. Pac, one of the Police dogs, detected the substance.
