Emergency landing of Russian Red Wings with 202 passengers on board

A plane of the Russian company Red Wings, with 202 passengers on board, made an emergency landing today in the city of Ufa, in the Republic of Baskortostán, after its left engine caught fire.

According to press reports, around 05:00 local time, the Tu-204 left for Sochi, but had to return shortly after takeoff due to the fault that caused travelers to panic, although none was injured.

The passengers of the flight WZ808 were evacuated immediately and attended by psychologists and representatives of the airline.

According to Red Wings, a group of experts investigates the causes of what happened.
