Equipment fire at Noble Energy's oil site in Weld County, Colorado

Reuters quoted Liberty Oilfield Services as saying that a piece of equipment caught fire on Wednesday afternoon during completion operations on a well at Noble Energy's site in Weld County, Colorado.

"There are no producing oil and gas wells at this site," Liberty said in a statement. It said that the area is secured and there were no injuries, it said, adding all employees and contractors were safe.

A report with TheDenverChannel.com said, quoting a fire department official about 3,000 gallons of diesel fuel was burning, with the potential for 15,000 gallons to burn.
