German container ship lost 24 containers in North sea

Container ship Leonie P reported 24 containers lost overboard on the night December 8-9 in North sea, 20 nm off Terschelling, Netherlands, while en route from Bremen to Rotterdam.




According to official information, there are no dangerous goods in lost containers, some of them are empty. Some containers already sank.

At 1330 UTC Dec 9 Leonie P was entering Europort Rotterdam. Locals are warned, asked to contact authorities when stumbling on beached or drifting containers.
