Iran earthquake death toll rises to 214

The death toll of the Sunday powerful earthquake in west of Iran has risen to 214, while the number of the injured are reported to be 2,504.

According to reports, the number of the dead may increase, IRNA reported.

The 7.3-magnitude earthquake rocked west of Iran and areas in east of Iraq on Sunday night killing at least 214. The quake, being at a depth 11 km, occurred at 21:05 local time (17:35 GMT).

Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution in a message on Monday ordered swift rescue operations to help quake victims.
