JAL, ANA cancel Osaka International Airport flights due to powerful earthquake

Japan Airlines Co. has announced that a total of 34 flights in and out of Osaka International Airport were cancelled as of noon on June 18.

This is after an estimated magnitude-6.1 earthquake struck a wide area of western Japan, including Osaka, Kyoto and Shiga prefectures that morning.

All Nippon Airways Co. cancelled 12 flights in and out of the airport as of shortly past 11 a.m.
