De Tijd is reporting this. CERT.be provides a central database of all reports linked to malware, phishing attacks, DDoS attacks and others.

Last year, the CERT.be team identified a total of 1,341 such accounts per month - a record. These come, amongst others, from specialist companies and other countries, The Brussels Times reports.

The number of accounts of “cyber incidents” in Belgium has multiplied by a factor of ten since 2010.

The federal government is due to present its cyber security programme.
