Storms leave 150,000 without power in Michigan
The fast-moving storms included rain, lightning, thunder and winds gusting to 91 mph.
Trees and wires were down across West Michigan, and one unidentified man was killed in Grand Haven, near Grand Rapids, when a tree fell on his home. The Grand Haven area had an unconfirmed report of winds of 103 mph, WOOD-TV, Grand Rapids, reported.
The northeastern part of the state also experienced power outages caused by the storm.
Consumers Energy reported power outages in eight Michigan counties on Friday morning, with Kent County the hardest-hit with more than 57,000 reports of outages. ■
