Tanker and cargo ship collide near Istanbul

A tanker and a cargo ship collided on 10 miles west of Sivriada island in Istanbul, Turkish media reported.


The dry cargo ship Ersoylar 1 and tanker Gammagas collided 30 miles off İmralı Island. Rescue vessels connected to the coastal police from Bursa and Istanbul were referred to the accident area where there was no dead or injured.

As a result of the collision, no one was injured, but at the same time, small cracks appeared on the hulls of the two vessels.

The vessels were towed to the docks for repair.
