4.7% increase in sales of retail shops in Hungary

In November 2016, the volume of sales in retail shops in Hungariy, according to both raw and calendar-adjusted data, grew by 4.7% compared to the same period last year.

The volume of sales, adjusted for calendar effects, rose by 2.1% in specialized and non-specialized food shops, by 8.1% in non-food retail shops and by 3.9% in automotive fuel retailing.

In January–November 2016, the volume of sales – also according to calendar adjusted data – was 4.7% higher than in the corresponding period of the previous year.
