96% of Lithuanian institutions provide online services

Some 95.7% state and municipal institutions and offices in Lithuania provided first-level electronic services online in early 2016 – information about their functions and services was available on their websites.

Some 72.2% of the institutions allowed download of various forms, 26.6% allowed uploading them after filling out and 33.4% specified they provided electronic services without additional paper procedures, the department said.

Last year, 44% of the population aged 16-74 used the electronic public services provided by state institutions, up from 42% in 2014.

All companies used online channels for communication with state institutions, according to the biannual survey of the use of information technologies by state and municipal institutions and offices.
