Albania to grow by 4.5 percent

Albanian Minister of Economy and Entrepreneurship Arben Ahmetaj said at the Assembly that the 2015 budget consolidates the economic growth from 2 to 3 percent, with the view to eventually increase it by 4.5 percent by the end of the mandate.

According to Albanian Telegraphic Agency, during the discussion in principle of the most important financial law, Ahmetaj stressed that the three main pillars of the 2015 budget are: economic growth, reform in the economy and continuation of fiscal justice, launched in 2014.

Focusing on the economic growth, the Minister said that a year after the left-wing came into power, we observed that the government is on the right track, as it has curbed the economic downturn and the big hole it found in September 2013.

"We are consolidating the growth economic with budgetary and non budgetary instruments. This is the biggest budget in 24 years, amounting to 5 billion U.S. dollars. It is also the biggest budget with regard to investments in the past five years," Ahmetaj said.
