The delegation will visit Indian companies in Chennai and Delhi in addition to the Auto Expo Motor and Components show.

This event will showcase the range of expertise that France can offer to meet the needs of Indian companies in order to integrate cleaner, innovative and environmentally responsible automotive solutions for India, according to a company statement.

The automotive industry in India is not only one of the largest in the world, but also is evolving along with the Government’s efforts to promote electric mobility as one of the key solutions to reduce carbon emissions along with the introduction of the new BS-VI emission norms.

India has become an increasingly interesting market, especially for French players, owing to the steadily growing presence of Renault and the advent of PSA this year.

France is the largest electric mobility market in Europe and intends to contribute to India’s ambitious automotive program with its cutting edge technologies, claims the statement.

French players look forward to creating synergies with Indian companies through technical cooperation and partnerships.
