PCs still drive most internet traffic in Latin America
But the vast majority of internet traffic in the region still comes from desktop and laptop computers, according to August 2014 data from comScore.
In Mexico, which had the lowest share of traffic from PCs of any country studied, more than three-quarters of all internet traffic still came from desktop and laptop devices. Another 18% came from mobile phones, and 3.7% from tablets—in both cases, the highest percentages of any country studied.
On the other end of the spectrum is Argentina, where 86.9% of internet traffic came from desktops and laptops, vs. just 10.9% from mobile phones. ■
