And based on comScore data from this past April, the Asia-Pacific internet audience is itself among the most dominated of any in the world by adults under 35.

Three in 10 internet users in Asia-Pacific were ages 15 to 24, according to the research, while a further 31.6% were 25 to 34. Only in Peru, but not in the whole of Latin America, were internet users younger overall. And Asia-Pacific internet users were 9.4 percentage points more likely than the worldwide average to be under 35.

And when you take into account what a large share of the overall internet audience is in Asia-Pacific, those numbers matter even more.

comScore's research put 44% of the worldwide internet population in Asia-Pacific, using a methodology that included residents ages 15 and older using the web from home and work locations.

eMarketer's methodology, which includes residents of any age who access the internet via any device at least once per month, puts Asia-Pacific's share of internet users at 47.2% of the total worldwide this year. By 2018, we estimate that nearly half of the entire world's web population will be in Asia-Pacific.
