Magyar said the introduction of direct flight Skopje-Budapest by the year-end would intensify business cooperation and enhance trade exchange. He also announced a Macedonian-Hungarian business forum in December.

"Macedonia and Hungary are very close both in political and economic terms. Hungary is the fifth-largest investor in Macedonia, but also a great supporter of the country's Euro-Atlantic integration", said Magyar.

According to him, the direct flight would have a positive effect on business relations and stimulation of tourism.

"We want to facilitate B2B meetings, see more Hungarian investments in Macedonia, more Hungarian products and technology at the Macedonian market, as well as increased presence of your companies in Hungary", added Magyar.

He expects the attendance of around 100 Macedonian companies at the December forum, resulting in a number of agreements.

The participants at the meeting agreed that potentials for enhancement of bilateral economic relations are enormous, especially in the fields of tourism, agriculture, energy and infrastructure projects. They also supported SSK's initiative over signing a cooperation memorandum with leading chambers of commerce in Hungary.
