Iran to build 20 mini LNG refineries

The Natural Gas Storage Company has identified 20 locations in Iran for small liquefied natural gas (LNG) facilities, NGSC chief Massoud Samivand said.

Mr. Samivand said the plants will be built by Iran’s private sector companies, and said, "Some five investors have so far obtained the necessary license for signing contract to set up the plants." He said that the NGSC closely cooperates with universities and knowledge-based companies such as Tehran University, Sharif University of Technology and Tarbiat Modaress University as well as Shiraz and Shahroud universities.

Up to now, five investors has acquired necessary permissions for signing contract to set up the plants.
