Kuwait expresses support for Egypt's stance over Nile dam

Kuwait's foreign minister Sheikh Ahmed Al-Nasser Al-Sabah expressed his country's support for Egypt’s stance over the disputed Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD).

"The Kuwaiti position is supportive of brotherly Egypt, especially concerning its national security," Al-Sabah told reporters on Monday during his visit to the Palestinian Embassy in Kuwait to express condolences over the death of senior Palestinian peace negotiator Saeb Erekat.

In his remarks reported by the Egyptian state run news agency MENA, Al-Sabah said discussions with Egypt are diversified and are not only limited to this issue.
