Medvedev, Castro to talk about energy, transport, healthcare
Medvedev and Castro will discuss development of "Russian-Cuban trade and economic cooperation, implementation of joint projects in energy, transportation, humanitarian, pharmaceutical and healthcare spheres and other issues of mutual interest," the press service of the Russian government said.
Castro will arrive in Moscow at an invitation from the Russian president to attend the celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the Soviet victory over Nazi Germany.
In April, the Russian prime minister had negotiations with his Cuban counterpart Ricardo Cabrisas, who visited Russia to participate in a meeting of the intergovernmental commission on the trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation between Russia and Cuba.
As the commission discussed key issues, the countries signed documents related to metallurgy, aviation, car transport and energy. Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin chairs the Russian part of the commission. ■
