Nepal and China ink transit and transport agreement

Nepal and China signed agreements including on transit and transport. The agreements have been signed during the high level talks held at the Great Hall of the People in course of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's official visit.

Prime Minister Oli and his Chinese counterpart Li Keqiang held talks at the Great Hall of the People.

On the occasion, the two leaders discussed on further deepening the Nepal-China relations as well as on various aspects of Chinese possible cooperation to Nepal.

In course of the high-level talks, various agreements have been signed and letters exchanged to that connection.

The agreements include the transit and transport, free trade, installing solar grids at 32 thousand houses, soft loan, the loan agreement for construction of the Pokhara Airport, the agreement on exploration of gas and petroleum in Nepal and a deal on construction of a bridge in Hilsa, among others.
