Qatar donates $1 million to Peru for disaster risk management

Qatar's Chargé d'Affaires Khalifa Al-Zarraa on behalf of Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani donated $1 million to the Peruvian Government, the Foreign Affairs Ministry has reported.

This contribution will enable State-run National Civil Defense Institute (Indeci) to strengthen disaster risk management during prevention, response, and reconstruction processes.

The donation was symbolically received by Foreign Affairs Minister Nestor Popolizio at Lima-based Torre Tagle Palace.

Thus, this grant proves that Peru and Qatar rely on good friendship and cooperation ties.
