At a meeting held with officials of the Federal Fisheries Agency of Russia (Rosrybolovstvo), the two sides discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation and also discussed the repeal of the restrictions imposed by the Russian government to Chilean exporting plants.

The Chilean authorities met with officials of the Veterinary and Phytosanitary Service (Rosselkhoznadzor) of Russia and the Integration and Development Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission.

With regard to the situation of plants with export restrictions imposed by Rosselkhoznadzor after the visit in Chile last November it was announced that during the current month the reviewing process of reports submitted by SERNAPESCA would conclude.

SERNAPESCA's documents contain all corrective measures already implemented by plants and the adjustments to the supervision and sanitary control procedures carried out by the authority to meet the requirements of the Russian legislation.
