Turkey confirms interest in Turkish Stream, Akkuyu projects

Turkey remains interested in the implementation of joint energy projects with Russia, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has confirmed to his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.

“Turkish Stream was discussed - interest confirmed; Akkuyu - interest confirmed. The area for interaction is very wide," the Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Monday following a meeting between Erdogan and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The head of Russia's Gazprom Alexey Miller was also present at the meeting, according to RIA Novosti.

“Differences remain on a number of issues but the dialogue has been constructive as a whole,” Peskov said, according to TASS.
