UAE, Switzerland sign agreement on water, energy

United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Switzerland have signed a memorandum of cooperation (MoC) to boost cooperation in the water and energy sector and data expertise exchange in clean energy and carbon capture and storage (CCS).

UAE senior officials signed the agreement in Geneva during a visit led by Energy Minister Suhail bin Mohammed Faraj Faris Al Mazrouei, Emirates News Agency (WAM) reports.

Under the agreement, UAE and Switzerland will also work on encouraging cooperation between their educational institutes and research centres.

In Geneva, Al Mazrouie and head of Swiss Federal Department of Transportation, Communication and Energy Doris Leuthard discussed aspects of cooperation in water and energy.
