Ukraine, Canada sign free trade zone agreement

Ukraine and Canada have finalised talks on a free trade zone, Ukraine’s Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said in a report to the parliament on his trips to the U.S. and Canada.

"We have signed the second after the EU agreement on a free trade zone - between Ukraine and Canada," he said.

The talks on a free trade zone had continued for several years, he said. Thus, he added, "Canada actually decided to liberalize its market for Ukrainian goods."
