"I deem Rotterdam-plus scheme to be unacceptable," he said. Volodymyr Groysman recalled that last week he had instructed to assess "Rotterdam plus" coal price formula.

The Prime Minister noted that the decision on the coal price was made by the National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Public Utilities.

"This decision has been undertaken by the independent regulator which is not subject to the Government. But the Government is not going to sit still and contemplate how the coal price is being formed!" he said.

The Government's position on this issue is very public, said Volodymyr Groysman. The Prime Minister also informed that the electricity price for industry increased. He stressed that the price of coal and electricity should be fair.
