U.S. reduces economic, military aid to Armenia

U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration published budget request for FY2019 which contains considerable foreign aid cuts.

According to the document, the administration asks to provide $3.24 economic aid to Armenia, as compared to $4 million in 2018.

The aid provided within International Military Education and Training program will make $600 thousand, and $1.5 million will be allocated under International Narcotics Control and Law Enforcement, reported.

In 2018 the administration cut economic aid to Azerbaijan, but decided to allocate $3 million it in Fiscal Year 2019.

No military aid was proposed for Armenia ($1 million was allocated last year).
