Zakharova: U.S. special services trying to recruit Russian journalists

U.S. special services are putting serious pressure on Russian journalists and also try to recruit them, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said.

"Apart from the legislative pressure, the country’s authorities actively use less formal but in their view, apparently more effective methods," she told reporters.

Zakharova also said that Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson will hold a meeting in Vienna on December 7 to discuss the pressure that US security services have been exerting on Russian journalists

"Tomorrow, this information will be provided to the US side during the talks," she noted.
