American Express Middle East appoints new CEO

Manama, Bahrain - February 1, 2010, Manama, Bahrain - American Express Middle East (AEME) announced the appointment of William C. Keliehor as the new chief executive officer.

Mr. Keliehor brings with him more than 19 years of multi-national experience, with global leaders in the financial services and payments industry.

Prior to joining American Express, Mr. Keliehor spent 11 years working for Citibank, in the USA, Russia and the Middle East.

Mr. Keliehor's last role was with Citibank based in Dubai as Managing Director, Cards Division Head - Greece, Pakistan, Middle East and Africa.

Mr. Keliehor holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Accounting from the University of Houston, USA.

Mr. Keliehor has actively been involved in a number of forums as a guest speaker, at regional councils and on Visa and MasterCard Global Product Committees.
