Astro-Med CEO Everett Pizzuti to retire, Gregory Woods successor

West Warwick, RI, USA - December 3, 2013, West Warwick, RI, USA - Astro-Med, Inc., a manufacturer of specialty high tech printers and data acquisition systems, announces that its CEO, Everett V. Pizzuti, will retire, effective January 31, 2014.

Everett V. Pizzuti co-founded Astro-Med in 1971. He holds several patents related to the business of the Company. Previously, Mr. Pizzuti was general sales manager of the recorder division of Gulton Industries. He is a graduate of Brown University with an AB in Economics. Mr. Pizzuti will remain a member of the Board of Directors of Astro-Med.

The Astro-Med Board has appointed Gregory A. Woods as President and CEO, effective February 1, 2014.

Mr. Woods joined Astro-Med in September of 2012 as its Executive Vice President & COO and was subsequently appointed President and COO on August 29, 2013.

Previously, Mr. Woods served as President of Performance Motion Devices. Mr. Woods has more than 20 years of experience in the industrial automation and motion control industries.

His most recent experience was as CEO of Control Technology Corporation, a supplier of automation controllers based in Hopkinton, Massachusetts. Prior leadership positions have been with Danaher Corporation as President of API Motion Controls and Vice President of Sales and Marketing at ORMEC Systems.
