Briggs & Stratton announces election of new director

Milwaukee, Wi., USA - January 23, 2014, Milwaukee, Wi., USA - Briggs & Stratton Corporation, a manufacturer of air-cooled gasoline engines primarily for outdoor power equipment, announced that it has elected Frank M. Jaehnert as a director of the company.




Mr. Jaehnert will serve as a member of the class of directors whose terms of office expire in 2015. Mr. Jaehnert has an extensive, broad-based international business and executive management and leadership experience. He is the retired Chief Executive Officer and President of Brady Corporation. He served as a Consultant of Brady Corp. from October 2013 to December 2013. He served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Brady Corp. from April 1, 2003 to October 2013.

Mr. Jaehnert served as the Chief Financial Officer of Brady Corp. from November 1996 to January 2002. He served as the President of Identification Solutions & Specialty Tapes Group and Senior Vice President of Brady Corp. since January 2002. Mr. Jaehnert joined Brady Corp. in 1995 as Finance Director of the Identification Solutions & Specialty Tapes Group.

Before joining Brady, he held various financial and management positions for Robert Bosch GmbH from 1983 to 1995. He has been a Director of Nordson Corporation since February 2012. He served as a Director of Brady Corp. since April 1, 2003. He served as a Trustee of Manufacturers Alliance/MAPI, Inc.
