Mr. Johnson is a Professional Engineer with extensive oil sands and heavy oil experience. Mr. Johnson has been with Connacher since June 2007. He served as Production Supervisor at IMC Global, Mechanical Design Engineer at BCP Engineering Ltd., Junior Project Engineer at BAR Engineering Ltd. and as Field Engineer (Open Hole) at Computalog Ltd. Mr. Johnson graduated as an Engineer with Distinction from the University of Saskatchewan and received his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Calgary.
Greg Pollard, currently the Chief Financial Officer of the Company under a fixed term contract, has accepted a permanent role with the Company as Chief Financial Officer.
Mr. Pollard was appointed Chief Financial Officer in July 2012. Mr. Pollard has a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Accounting from the University of Alberta and has more than 30 years of experience in the energy sector. His expertise is in transaction advisory services, particularly for complicated transactions with cross-border or regulatory issues that require coordination of resources from a variety of functional areas.
His previous experience includes eight years in the area of global account leadership, working with many large energy clients with Ernst & Young. Prior to that role, Mr. Pollard held a leadership role at Deloitte & Touche in a number of different service lines over an eleven year period, including responsibility for the transaction support and merger/acquisition practices.
Peter Sametz, currently the Interim Chief Executive Officer, has advised the Company that he will not be extending his consulting contract beyond December 31, 2012. As a result, Connacher will be commencing an executive search process to identify candidates for the role of Chief Executive Officer of the Company.
Mr. Sametz, formerly President and Chief Operating Officer of Connacher, was appointed Interim Chief Executive Officer of Connacher in February 2012. Mr. Sametz has approximately 30 years of experience in the oil industry. He graduated with high distinction as an Engineer from Carleton University in 1979 and has worked with large, intermediate and junior companies. His industry expertise has been further drawn upon for technical papers, lectures, and domestic and international consulting services, primarily focused on the heavy oil industry. ■
