Milwaukee, Wi., USA - September 24, 2013, Milwaukee, Wi., USA - Marcus Hotels & Resorts, a division of The Marcus Corporation, announced that Joseph Khairallah has been appointed COO and Jeff Peterson has joined the company as vice president, operations.

A seasoned hospitality veteran, Mr. Khairallah began a 30-year career with Hyatt Hotels in 1983 at the Grand Hyatt New York in New York, N.Y. and has worked in various locations and roles for the global hospitality company.
In his most recent role as vice president of rooms, spa and security for Hyatt Americas Group, Mr. Khairallah supported 383 hotels and was directly responsible for the oversight of 155 properties, playing a lead role in opening the new luxury Andaz Maui at Wailea resort in Wailea, Hawaii. Additionally, he oversaw the operations of 30 existing spas and was instrumental in preparing for the opening of 10 new spas within the Hyatt portfolio.
Other highlights during his tenure with Hyatt include serving as vice president of rooms for the company’s international group, where he was responsible for 115 hotels throughout the globe, and general manager of the Hyatt Regency in Montreal where he oversaw a multi-million dollar rebranding and renovation of the property. Mr. Khairallah graduated from the prestigious Istitut Haulot in Brussels, Belgium, with a hotel management degree.
Mr. Peterson joins Marcus Hotels & Resorts with 18 years of hospitality industry experience in a variety of roles at Hyatt Hotels Corporation. He joined Hyatt in 1991 as director of finance and most recently served as vice president, corporate transactions/global asset management, where he was responsible for asset management and execution of financial transactions involving Hyatt’s existing hotel real estate assets, joint ventures and management agreements. ■
