Masato Marumo joins Lazard as managing director

Tokyo, Japan - September 27, 2010, Tokyo, Japan - Lazard Ltd., a financial company, announced that Masato Marumo has joined the firm as a managing director of investment banking.

Mr. Marumo spent ten years at the Carlyle Group, a global private equity firm, most recently as a Partner as well as a Managing Director of Carlyle Japan Partners, a Japan dedicated buyout fund.

Prior to joining Carlyle in 2001, Mr. Marumo spent ten years with the Industrial Bank of Japan (currently, Mizuho Corporate Bank).
