London, United Kingdom - Pitkin Petroleum Plc, an oil and gas company, announced that David Gray and Robert Nicholson were elected to the board of directors.

Mr. Gray was a member of the Gas & Electricity Markets Authority and Managing Director, Networks of its executive arm, Ofgem from 2003 to 2007.
Prior to this he had a career at James Capel & Co (later HSBC Investment Bank) from 1982 to 2003 where he was head of oil and gas research and then head of UK equity research.
Mr. Gray subsequently established and ran HSBC Investment Bank's corporate finance team in the Energy & Utilities Sector.
He is also a non-executive director of the UK Civil Aviation Authority and a member of the Council of Management of the Regulatory Policy Institute.
Mr. Nicholson qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales in 1980 and in Hong Kong in 1982.
He was a Senior Partner of Richards Butler from 1985 to 2001.
He joined First Pacific Company Limited's board in June 2003 and was named an Executive Director in November 2003.
Mr. Nicholsonis an independent non-executive director of QPL International Holdings Limited, Pacific Basin Shipping Limited, India Capital Growth Fund Limited and Forum Energy plc (the last two being AIM quoted companies).
Mr. Nicholson serves as a commissioner of PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk, and is a director of Metro Pacific Investments Corporation, Level Up! International Holdings Pte Ltd and Philex Mining Corporation, a substantial shareholder of Pitkin.
The company has also appointed William Ashby as Worldwide Exploration Manager, based in Manila, Philippines.
He has worked as a geophysicist since 1984 including as an exploration manager for Mobil in Argentina and Peru and for ConocoPhillips in Australia.
Mr. Ashby has also worked for Sun Resources, Adelphi Energy and Kufpec Australia.
He has a degree and graduate diploma in geophysics from the Western Australia Institute of Technology.
In addition, David Ford has been appointed Finance Manager, based in Manila.
He was Finance Manager for Crew Gold Corporation and worked for them in the UK, Greenland and the Philippines. ■
