Syncona appoints Kemal Malik as director

London, United Kingdom - Syncona, a healthcare company, announced the appointment of Kemal Malik as a nonexecutive director.


Mr. Malik has 30 years of experience in pharmaceutical research and development and has been responsible for bringing many innovative medicines to commercialisation.

Mr. Malik has spent much of his recent career at Bayer where he served on the Board of Management.

For the ten years prior to this, he was Head of Global Development and Chief Medical Officer at Bayer Healthcare.

Mr. Malik's early career began with roles in medical affairs, clinical development and new product commercialisation at Bristol-Myers Squibb.

Mr. Malik qualified in medicine at Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School (Imperial College) and is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians.
