Samsung Electronics Australia to pay $14m penalty for misleading water resistance claims

Samsung Electronics Australia has been ordered by the Federal Court to pay $14 million in penalties after it admitted misleading consumers about the suitability of various Samsung Galaxy phones to be submerged in pool or sea water, in proceedings brought by the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC).
