As a result of the policy of ordering and controlling the meat export market, the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, through the National Directorate of Agricultural Trade Control, proceeded last Friday to suspend or disqualify to export to 6 companies for irregularities such as not liquidating foreign currency or having consigned false addresses , among other charges.
They marketed almost 7,000 tons, which represents 21% of the volume exported by firms that do not have their own processing plants. In this way, there are already 12 companies suspended or disqualified from exporting to date. While another 5 were instructed to submit missing requirements.
"It is worth noting that the work done through the registry has allowed us to have an exhaustive description of the signatures, and detect inconsistencies that harm the normal development of the activity. These joint actions seek to eliminate unfair competition in the export market for frozen meat, which was also a request of the entire sector," said Luciano Zarich, director of Agricultural Trade Control.
The same report also reports the interdiction of 1087 boxes of frozen meat belonging to the company Alpha Estudio Aduanero, which has been suspended from the Single Registry of the Agri-Food Chain (RUCA) for a series of irregularities detected and 28 boxes of frozen meat belonging to the company Agrop Negocios. For a total of 26,083 kgs
In another operation carried out in the port of Buenos Aires, 4 containers with frozen meat were interdicted, three of which belong to the company Alpha Estudio Aduanero, and the rest to the company Agrop Negocios. It should be noted that the latter operated in the market with a false address and proven insolvency of its owners. The total amount of goods interdicted amounts to 103,905 kilograms.
In addition, and within the framework of the controls carried out by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, 60 TN of frozen beef belonging to the firm Mocho Pampa were also interdicted, which is suspended due to the detection of triangulation maneuvers.
It should be recalled that 30 TN are ready to be seized, which according to the records belonged to the huachana firm, which has been criminally denounced for not having received $8 million in currency, according to the report of the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic.
In all cases, the measures adopted are being carried out within the framework of two administrative processes that are processed by the National Directorate of Agricultural Trade Control.
Finally, from the control area it was anticipated that progress has been made with the first criminal complaints with two of the operators who presented serious irregularities and that controls and information crossings with other areas of the national state continue to be carried out in order to continue making the meat market transparent. ■
